Great news for the Hive community: Bittrex just announced that they are launching a USD/HIVE and USDT/HIVE trading pair on their exchange. With STEEM we didn't have a USD/STEEM trading pair in 4 years, with HIVE we have it after not even 2 months!

This is good for everyone that wants to buy or sell HIVE with/to fiat. You no longer have to go through other currencies like Bitcoin, which often is slow and has transaction costs. After Binance, HBTC and Hotbit this is the fourth new listing for HIVE in the last 24 hours. This USD pair is additional to the already existing BTC pair.
Bittrex has been promoting HIVE by showing it on this banner at the top of their page for the last days. Now HIVE is only shown once for the top volume, but this is still nice :)!
This is a big step forward for Hive. The next question probably is: WHEN COINBASE? ;D
Bittrex unfortunately requires KYC, but you would need to do that anyway if you are planning to buy crypto with USD.
