most projects i see claim x% apy on their liquidity pool or vault etc using e^rate (continuous compounding)
hive on the other hand uses 15% apr, flat annual rate.
considering there's miscommunication in pretty much the entire world between nominal interest vs compounding interest, it's not really a big deal.
but maybe hive is somewhat oldschool and less fancy. whether that's good or not isn't so clear.
there's fancy projects that do 10,000% apy for a brief moment and then fall into obscurity within one or two years. hive to me is more like a zombie that doesn't die.
Zombie is too new. Let's move it back further, it's a thousand years old dracula. i rather it survive longer with less fluctuation, rather than spike 10000% yet the liquidity worth less than $1000 😂
considering the entire alt scene is relatively new, i guess hive is kinda old but somehow chugging along. i dunno how long it's gonna on but i do hope it keeps going.
