The News
You will probably have seen lots of @hivefest posts. Even though it was a bit smaller than previous events it was still a lot of fun and very informative. There are also videos of all the presentations. There is a real mix there from the fun of @coldbeetrootsoup to some intense technical stuff.
I will do my usual crypto prices chart. $HIVE is down a little, but with all the projects and development going on it ought to improve. You have to play the long game with Hive. If you have HP then you cannot immediately dump it anyway.
I know there is stuff going on with @splinterlands, but I have not been paying too much attention. I know some people in Amsterdam were logging in for a big pre-sale. Others can tell you more about that. Splinterfest is happening soon in Las Vegas, so look out for updates from there.
Friday Follows
I am going to feature people who were at Hivefest. Many have had to power down to pay for their trip, including me. That shows their commitment to this platform.
- @brittandjosie was one of the first I met. She did not have to come too far and she made me very welcome. I know she has had some issues with downvotes, but has not let it put her off.
- @zirochka came from Kyiv to tell us her story. Hive is really helping people there.
- I had a great chat with @elmerlin who has made a big investment in Hive to back up his @liketu project. I think short-form content can have a future here. That is what most people consume and produce after all.
- I have known @bil.prag for a while, but only just met him. He took loads of great photos of the event.
- @ana-maria from Croatia has been on here almost as long as me. @lordbutterfly is also from there and was talking about the film he is making.
- @lemouth is a physicist who has worked at CERN. Imagine if Hive became a hub for scientists. They could publish on the blockchain.
- I enjoyed some beers with @pardinus and @xrayman from Portugal.
- I have to mention the @risingstargame crew of @jux, @ugochill and @tdctunes. I obviously think music can be a big part of Hive and these guys are making it happen.
- Thanks to @roelandp and his team that included @priyanarc, @blind-spot, @minigunner and @artakush. They made it a great experience for everyone and deserve a good rest.
There were around 90 Hivers there, but I will not tag them all. Check on the #hivefest tag to see and support their posts.
The End
It can be hard to re-adjust to 'normal life' after the buzz of Hivefest, but life goes on. The next one may be on a different continent, but I expect that is still to be finalised. I always say that any time a few Hivers get together good things happen. We need events all over the world, so why not arrange something? You just need to set a time and a place you can talk. I have seen people get signed up to the blockchain at such events. Face to face has better bandwidth than online.
Hive is family.

BEER.I have to tell you that I started to think about it (arranging something) while I was still there, in Amsterdam, during HiveFest. And this thought doesn't leave me.
At the moment, I really don't know when I'll be able to catch some time to think it through seriously, even less how and when to arrange that something afterward, but somehow I'm so positive that I'll figure out something. (I already have some ideas, but now I'm mostly focused on this coming wedding and some other RL obligations.)

Real life is more important than all this online stuff, but Hive is fun. Meeting up at events like this makes it more real. Great to see you there and may be we will meet again some time.

I am a Splinterlands player, but when we were at Hive Fest, I completely forgot about the game, the FOMO, and the hype around new packs, games, etc... It was to much fun in the real-time to think about the game!

You guys really had an amazing time together at the hive fest. Its always amazing meeting people on hive. By the way splinterlands is really killing it with all their presales and amazing game releases. I don't have some assets yet but I will be getting some pretty soon. I recommend you take a look at ti yourself
Watching this YouTube video i wish i was present there it is almost like everyone was sharing their story on the hive journey, I have being so curious about going for the hive fest please i want to be part of this Great gathering someday.
I only know a few names there..perhaps I need to take a look at them too.. I watched the videos and I didn't know that it was roelandp the main host there 😅..

That is pretty cool that you were able to connect with so many people. I am still a bit jealous about not being able to attend. It really feels like a lot of missed opportunities for me. I have a conference I am heading to at the end of next month and I know how important in person networking can be.
I'm definitely enjoying reading about the fun had by those who were fortunate enough to attend :) ... Do you know if Blnd-spot got a good laptop yet?
