DHF is a double edge sword, many projects are working for the DHF, to please the DHF, not the users or attract new users. All that matters is the funding from the DHF, it feels like a subsidy, not as providing a service users would pay for by themselves, organically. Ideally we would support projects by the DHF that would become self-sustainable or at least develop something as open-source rather than close-source. Open-source should be a requirement for every DHF project.
