Some of you might know that I launched an app recently called HiveHeist which just concluded its first vault which nobody guessed. The combination was 7160.
The way HiveHeist works if you're not familiar is a weak match (at least one of the numbers in the right positioned is guessed) you get half your 0.500 HIVE entry back, of which almost a quarter of entrants got. The payouts scale depending on the right position and accuracy of the numbers with the winner taking the whole amount.
It's a carry over jackpot. So the jackpot from vault #1 which was not cracked carries over to vault #2 and it keeps carrying over until someone wins (minus the smaller wins). Each vault stays open for 7 days and you get unlimited guesses at 0.500 HIVE per guess. It'll be interesting to see if vault #2 gets cracked.

Unlimited guesses? So I can guess 10000 times for 5000 Hive and I surely win my own 5000 + the others bets? The only risk is when someone else guesses right too, but that is a low risk right now.
Statistically yes, but it's a gamble. It's no different than going to the casino with more money than someone else and seeing someone who put $50 into a slot machine win while you lose. Your odds go up, but it's never 100% and realistically, nobody is going to try that many times. Because you're not going to make much of a gain if you're the majority entrant. Also, don't forget you can overwhelmingly bet, but others can win partially (which reduces your winnings) and there is also a 10% burn.
