Web4.0 may have arrived with the introduction of HoloPorts. I’m quite the follower of the Holochain network on twitter and their base cryptocurrency is none other than $HOT.
Based on the store.holo.host website, the cheapest way to support the distributed network and earn Holo fuel is by purchasing a HoloPort Nano. Holo is powered by HoloFuel, a cryptocurrency backed by digital assets – the processing, computation, and storage needed for efficient cloud hosting.
When the number of hosts grows, that mass computing power stabilizes valuation. Hosts set their own prices for their computing power which will in turn stabilize when averaged across a large ecosystem of servers distributed across the planet. Fuel is what incentivizes participation, therefore bringing along the infrastructure and resources needed to sustain itself.
I do consider this tech to be similar to hosting a node if you are familiar with that. Food for thought or rather fuel for thought on getting one of the HoloPort Nano installed and start earning Fuel!
