A BREAK FROM THE HOMESTEAD
We took a break from working on the homestead, to help a wonderful family member. It is my beautiful fiance's mom. And we tilled her a couple of spots in her yard so she could have a flower garden and a vegetable garden.
It took about half a day, but it was so worth it. Katie and her mom both seemed so happy, and that makes it worth it! I hope that her plants and flowers do great. As you can see in the picture, the soil is very dark and healthy so it should not be a problem.
BACK AT OUR GARDEN
Nothing has popped up out of the ground yet. But we have rain coming this weekend, and I think that will help...Speaking of help, our kitty cat and Evans puppy were trying to help us with the garden as seen in the following picture.
THE HOT WATER HEATER WORKS!!!
Last night, for the first time ever, I took a shower at the cabin without having to manually heat up the water!!! 🎉🎊🎉🎊😍 The shower is now also hooked up to the main plumbing which means I don't have to fill a bucket either!!!!!
For us, this is an amazing situation as I will no longer need to be present for other family members to take a shower. It will free up even more time as well for work on the homestead, instead of cleaning ourselves up.
