Farming really pays ,it just a matter of small time. Sometimes when you go for Agriculture, People do complain and they say it is a dirty job but I totally disagree with the common saying. You don't have to seek for large piece of land or may be hectares before you start your farm. You can begin from just your Frontyard or Backyard and plant few crops like Okro, Vegetables and even maize. Life has gone beyond staying at home sleeping without doing some things.

Here is my farm reward after 4 months of Fruiting

My Observation As A Young Farmer ( self-employed)

Since I have been into the blockchain platform here on Steemit, I noticed that when it now time for farming post or article, or let say homesteading, we don't always support farm activities, farm post, farm works, farm write ups which I believe it is the key foundation to successful mind. All what I see is STEEM Meetup , STEEM Travel , Steemfest , contest I didn't not say all this is very wrong idea but please am appealing on behalf of every Agricultural individual that you guys should support us. Support our mission, support our post, support our effort. Some guys will spend 2 hours writing post and at the end you seen 0.07cent. Wow, that's too bad. For this reason I will say or maybe conclude that this is why young people do not take agricultural sector serious. No young people want to go for Agriculture.

Hello @mattsanthonyit!

Those plantains sure do look big and tasty ;) However, we the team at @build-it will heartily appreciate if you include #diy, #how-to, #build-it, and #doityourself to the list of your tags.

@Build-it is a new tribe on the steem platform borne out of the need to reward all DIY (do it yourself) and how-to's articles with BUILD tokens, which can be exchanged for steem on steem engine.

Really, Steem is still in the early days and the focus for many of the bigger accounts is bringing more attention to it, so that's why steem based things will be promoted and supported more. That's where the communities come in. When I first started, the homesteading community was just starting out and we were all tiny accounts. The moral support was fantastic, but the rewards were negligible. We couldn't even rustle up the amount you've earnt on this post. It's taken over two years to get to the point we're at now, so that newcomers can see something for their posts. The communities continue to grow and will continue to as long as we support one another.

Congratulations on a good plantain harvest.
