My strategy is to hold enough HIVE POWER so that my upvote will be worth over $0.02 USD. I actually want it to be about 0.025. As most users are aware. $0.02 is the payment threshold for upvotes. With my upvote over $0.022, I can start upvoting comments.
I wasn't planning on writing a power up day post. The large number of alt-tokens on HIVE-Engine makes power up day too complex. But, I decided that I have reached the point in my HIVE career where I start withdrawing the HBD that I earn from posts.
My account essentially 100% powered up. If the price of HIVE stays about $0.13, this post will be the last time that I power up the account.
The large number of tokens on Hive-Engine makes power-up day difficult. I powered up all of my HIVE and all of the alt coins in my Hive-Engine account. This table shows the tally of my account as of 2/1/21.

My Blurt Account has 1241.807 BLURT which the platform says is worth $8.69. I bought 2000 to add to the account. @blurtlink lost 1000 BLURT that I sent the platform. That made me mad.
I am essentially 100% powered up in all of the platforms. I have used HIVE to set up new accounts, communities and tokens. I also lost 1000 BLURT when I used the @blurtlink service.
At the beginning of 2020, I borrowed $250 to buy HIVE. I need to pay this money back. During the summer, the price of HIVE rose to $0.26. The value of my account was over $600 and the value of my upvote was over $0.02. I declared to the world that I would start withdrawing HIVE.
Before I could sell HIVE, the price began to drop precipitously. Instead of selling, I ended up buying another $230 in HIVE.
I am actually $480 in the hole. So, the real celebration happens when I pay back the loan.
While I am sad that this might be the last time that I press the power up button in my HIVE wallet; I might find the act of withdrawing money to feel more satisfying that powering up. I will keep staking my alt-coins.
- I gave 100 HIVE to @vagabondspirit to create the OMA coin. @vagabondspirit gave me 10,100 OMA in return for services rendered. HiveStats shows that this transaction was wroth $1,200, but @vagabondspirit does not have the funds to repay the loan. This is a very strange transaction that might make sense at a later date.
Those 2 cents are worth double!

It turns out that copper is one of the best indicators of economic health. Copper is used in everything from plumbing to manufacturing and wiring. So, when the economy is booming, the price of copper rises.
Economic output is down. So the price of copper is down.
Nickels were at .062 a few years ago.
All change is bought by the federal reserve at face value from the treasury's mint.
