Inflation hidden in plain sight - raw materials are skyrocketing

Talk about hiding inflation in plain sight. Take this little pile of wood for instance... Enough wood to build a 20m feather edge fence has set me back nye on £1000! The price of lumber has more than doubled in the past 6month, and not just timber thats gone through the roof while weve been sleepwalking towards the next crash/inflationary shitshow.

But atleast the most expesive fence in our street is starting to take shape. I believe now more than ever that something big is a foot.... countries pouring billions in to covid relief, pricesnof raw materials skyrocketing, and talk of food shortages making UK news headlines is now a weekly occurrence.

Now more than ever is the time to get your shit in order. Prices of SILVER have taken a a nosedive rexently and that is a massive buy sign, swoop up as much cheap silver as you can before its too late.

Sort:

I have a sizable Emergency Cash reserve for those emergency needs like furnace replacement, car repairs, home repairs, medical needs that Insurance doesn't cover etc.
With zero Interest rates and real inflation destroying the buying power of my reserve to the point that it's losing as much as I save.
Every once in a while I borrow from it for a big silver purchase.
Look as if may have make a Silver purchase and screw the premiums, physical is the real market and not the paper one.

Lumber prices over here are crazy insane @welshstacker!! When I see a pickup going down the road full of lumber I tell Liz "that's an ounce of gold"! 😳

sometimes why the authorities do not intervene in this matter

The authorities are the problem and cause of it my friend.

Crikey, that’s a tad insetting. Crazy money.

So for a newbie to buying silver... where online might be a good, trusted and easy place to buy silver?

Cheers for any advice! Hope the fence looks good for that £1k!!

The fance looks really good thanks..... but my bank account not so much.

Now buying silver all depends on whwre you live. The States have a much better range and the prices are dar cheaper. Here in the UK, were limited to a small number of retailers, then have the joy of having to pay yax on every single silver purchase.

Ah I see. I’m UK based. Yorkshire.

Is there a preferred trusted retailer?

You can try ebay for smaller purchases. Thats how i started. Ifnyou wanted to buy in bulk then there are not many places that offer good value anymore. Pre-brexit you could pick up cheap silver from Europe and not habe to worry about import taxes ......

Ifnyou know anyone in the US, you could always ask them to send you some over?

Ive been buying gold lately, as herenin the UK its tax exempt and capital gains tax free(for coins), so while its a lot more expensive for initial outlay, it works out more profitable when factoring in taxes, postage and packaging and then reselling.

Fantastic, thanks for the info on this!
Maybe gold is the way forward. I just want to get a taste of what the process is and ways to identify real gold and not get scammed etc

Cheers!
