Harley-Davidson, Inc. (H-D), or Harley, is an American motorcycle manufacturer, founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903.
One of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression (along with Indian), the company has survived numerous ownership arrangements, subsidiary arrangements (e.g., Aermacchi 1974-1978 and Buell 1987-2009), periods of poor economic health and product quality, as well as intense global competition, to become one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers and an iconic brand widely known for its loyal following. There are owner clubs and events worldwide as well as a company-sponsored brand-focused museum.

Yep, I'm quoting a business instead of a person this time.

Known for being loud and leaking oil haha.
Most people know what a Harley is.
These bikes are world famous.
This quote from their company is great.
No one can write your story, only you can.
So why let their influence push you into what is not you?
We are shaping our realities at every moment of every day.

Also at every moment of every day we are navigating through some type of outside influences.
The truth is that no one else can shape in your reality, you are the only one that can actually do that.
However, outside influence can often times be strong enough that we follow that influence before we even realize that we did.
This can often leave us feeling like something outside ourselves made us do it.
It can also make us feel like we made the decision to go that direction.
Although, neither are true.
Feeling like someone made you do something is acknowledging that there is a strong outside influence yet not taking responsibility for making the choice you didn't know you made.
Feeling like you made a decision without realizing what influenced you to do so is moving forward with blinders.
If we are aware of the influence then have made a conscious decision one way or another, we are in control.
The influence may have been very heavy buy we are the ones that changed it...
We are the ones holding the pen.

It's a little funny that Harley uses this statement as a slogan designed to influence you into buying one of their bikes.
This just goes to show my next point.
There are strong forces in this world, much stronger than Harley Davidson by far, that understand this principle of influence and the power of suggestion on a much deeper level than you or I may ever.
They know just how to induce the types of influence that can herd the masses.
Even though they cannot shape in your reality themselves, they know just how to bombard you with outside influences to the point that you believe the choices that you have made are actually your own.
When in fact you were steered to them like a sheep dog steers a flock.

There is only one point I'm trying to make here.
Be aware.
Be aware of what influences are around you.
Once you begin to look you will realize that they are literally everywhere.
Know they are there, what they are, how they affect you and make a conscious decision what to do about them.
Just be sure at the end of the day that it is you hold the pen and not someone else.
Remember,
"When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen."
