My reputation precludes me from taking part in your great idea so rather than promote my own country (the UK) as a neutral, I am going to endorse my top 3 (having travelled to over 40) - in no particular order - Iceland, New Zealand and Slovenia! They are all mind-blowing and have each left a lasting impression on me and you could do a lot worse than start your journey in one of them.
