My posts are going to be related with the things I do in my daily life. Anecdotes, stories, poems; what comes to my mind and I see is good to be shared. I'm not an "expert" writer but I would really try to write things worthy to read and enjoy. This is one of the main reasons I decided to be here: I need to put into practice my writing skills!
Mis publicaciones van a estar relacionadas con cosas que hago en mi día a día. Pueden ser anécdotas, historias, poemas; lo que venga a mi mente y vea que es bueno de compartirlo acá. No soy una escritora "experta", pero intentaré escribir cosas que sean valiosas de leer y disfrutar. Esta es una de las razones por las cuales decidí estar aquí: necesito poner en práctica mis habilidades de escritura.
I have a B.A degree in Education with a major in ESL. I'm from Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela, but I'm currently living in Antofagasta, Chile. As many Venezuelans, I had to move to another country pursuing a better quality of life. I speak Spanish and English, and I'm learning French now.

Como muchos venezolanos, tuve que salir de mi país buscando una mejor calidad de vida. Hablo Español e Inglés, y estoy aprendiendo Francés.
I have a beautiful family. I'm the youngest daughter. Right now, I live with my old sister here in Chile. My parents are still in Venezuela.

I love dogs and cats. If I see a cat or a dog, I have the need to go and touch him. I just can't control it! Their soul call me. I have two babies: Dobby and Luna. I'm in love with them and I miss them every day.
Amo los perros y gatos. Si veo un gato o un perro, siento la necesidad de ir y tocarlo. No lo puedo evitar! Es como si su alma me llamara. Tengo dos bebés en casa: Dobby y luna. Los amo y los extraño todos los días.
One of the things I enjoy the most is watching TV Series and movies. I love to analyze them and get why the characters behave and act the way they do. Some of my favorite series are: Glee, Breaking Bad, Grey's Anatomy, The Bing Bang Theory, Friends,Modern Family, Stranger Things, The Good Place, Atypical, Elite,You; and more.
Una de las cosas que más disfruto es ver series de TV y películas. Me encanta analizarlas y entender porqué los personajes se comportan y actúan de la manera en que lo hacen. Unas de mis series favoritas son: Glee, Breaking Bad, Grey's Anatomy, The Bing Bang Theory, Friends, Modern Family, Stranger Things, The Good Place, Atypical, Elite, You; y otras más.
I like most of the movie genres(my favorite ones are psychological thrillers and drama), except terror/horror genre. Some of the movies I love: Black Swan, Inside Out, Birdman, Gone girl, Mean girls, La La Land, Frozen, White Chiks, Parasite, The Notebook, Bridesmaids, Titanic. Usually, I love when a story has a big twist and has an unexpected ending, even if that means I end up crying about it haha.
Me gusta la mayoría de los géneros cinematográficos (mis favoritos son los "thrillers" psicológicos y el drama), excepto el de terror/horror. Algunas de las películas que amo son: El Cisne Negro, Intensamente, Titanic, Frozen, ¿Y dónde están las rubias?, Chicas Pesadas, Parásitos, La La Land, Diario de una Pasión. Usualmente, amo las historias que tienen giros y finales inesperados, así me hagan llorar al final!
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. Thanks to these books, I started to love reading. So I'm always up to read any book that I think I'll enjoy.
Soy una gran fan de Harry Potter. Gracias a estos libros, empecé a amar la lectura. Así que siempre estoy dispuesta a leer cualquier libro que piense que puedo disfrutar.
About music, I have a wide taste. My two favorite artists are Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. I can listen to 70's, 80's music with no problem at all. Rock, Pop, Salsa, Disco, R&B, Hip Hop; are some of the genres I like. Maybe some Reggaeton and Electronic songs, but not so much.
Sobre música, tengo un gusto muy amplio. Mis dos artistas favoritas son Lady Gaga y Beyoncé. Puedo escuchar música de los 70's, 80's 90's; sin ningún problema. Rock, Pop, Salsa, Disco, R&B, Hip Hop; son algunos de los géneros que me gustan. Quizás algunas canciones de Reggaetón o Electrónica, pero no todas.
I really enjoy cooking and dancing. I feel very happy when I do any of them. I hope to become a greater cooker and dancer eventually.
Me encanta cocinar y bailar. Me siento muy feliz cuando hago cualquiera de las dos cosas. Espero convertirme en una mejor cocinera y bailarina pronto.

Welcome! My goodness, what an introduction! I'm currently trying to improve reading and speaking Spanish! I hope to get it to the level where I can tutor beginning students in Spanish. Currently I tutor students in Reading(English) and Math. I took Spanish in high school and college, but that was many years ago! I am trying to read a lot of Spanish posts to improve my understanding and build my vocabulary. That's very interesting that you are learning French. I took 3 classes of French in college, but never used it, so I only remember a little bit. Anyway, welcome to Hive! :)
Hello! Thanks for reading. With practice and discipline, you can make it! What you are doing with Spanish, I do it with English and now with French. It's part of the learning process. I started learning French almost 4 years ago, but I just stopped because I didn't have time because I was ending my career, then I started working. As now I'm working at home because of the quarantine, I decided to restart a few weeks ago. Thanks for stopping by, see you around!
