I've introduced a bunch of people to frisbee and almost everyone loves it. Figuring out where the flying plastic disc is going to end up does take a bit of practice but it's totally learnable.
You might be able to find a place to play on pickupultimate.com or just google, most cities have an ultimate club. Because it's a fairly new sport it tends to be more welcoming. Less chance someone has been playing frisbee since they were 4 (like you get with football or basketball for example).
