The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind! The support from the community has been amazing. We have some big plans for the next few months and are dedicated to bringing Steemians the best data they can get.
So, since we have not officially introduced ourselves, we are going to use this occasion to debut our work to the community. You may not have seen what we're capable of yet, but we're hoping if you're reading this post that you'll check out what we have to offer.
Our commitment is that every Steemian should be able to cast an informed vote for the witnesses that represent them and process their transactions. We hope to accomplish this by analyzing all of the data that the blockchain has to offer in a fair and unbiased manner, allowing our readers to draw their own conclusions and to vote accordingly.
We've only just scratched the service, however, and there is still so much more that the blockchain has to offer.
Unfortunately, that is going to be a little more expensive than we initially thought.
It has become clear that, in order to continue bringing you the data you deserve and to really get into the nitty gritty details, we can no longer rely on publicly-available services. Nor should we! Services like SteemData, SteemSql, and SteemDB are fantastic, but it's not fair to the rest of the network for us to query these services as heavily as we need to.
Adding to this, when these services go down for maintenance, we are put in a situation that leaves us unable to post new data in a timely manner.
Having said all that, whether you have read our past posts already, or are just now seeing what we have to offer, we are asking for your support. We need better equipment to run our data analyses without relying on public services.
