Food seems to be the one thing Italians just don't screw around with. There's just no halfassing desert. If cancer was food, Italians would have cured it centuries ago. If rocketships were deserts, Italians would have colonies on Mars already. If there was God just for food, he'd talk with his hands. If we were to replace currency with cuisine as a store of wealth, Italy would be the world standard instead of the US.
