This proverb is interesting because it tells us that what we want to be is seldom the result of our life.
When we were young, we were sure what we would be in the future. Our thoughts were linear. We were certain our future was cemented.
However, the Lord has purpose for us. Things happen that were not in our linear plans. We were touched by the Spirit and our plans changed without us even knowing it. Soon our plans because not important.
We look back and wonder what happened. Some of us accept our place and make the best of it. Others regret and wish for the past.
