As promised in our proposal, we will post weekly updates to let you know what's going on regarding Keychain development.
Mobile App
Now that Keychain on mobile can open dApps in the browser and handle transactions from dApp, I am working on making the App open external links via deep linking.
Sadly it is only possible on Android due to restrictions on iOS.
Here's an example opening a peakD link from Discord.
This will automatically launch Keychain and redirect you to the browser (after login if necessary).
I still have a few edge cases to handle but I should be able to ship this next week.
Keychain extension
This week I've started onboarding @cedricguillas, a new dev who just joined the team and will mainly work on the extension.
He fixed some issues in the Keychain popup when using a testnet rpc:
- Wrong currency names (there are still some but they will be fixed later on during a refactor)
- DEFAULT rpc disappearing after adding a testnet
- Fixed testnet transactions within the popup
We are starting to plan a huge refactor and will rewrite the extension using React, Redux and Typescript. This refactor will take time but in the long term it will help us coding faster and better in the future.

To import accounts quickly from your Hive Keychain extension to your mobile App, use the QR Code scanner by pressing the QR code logo:
On your extension, navigate to the menu (top right button), then to Manage Accounts and finally click on Show QR Code.
