As promised in our proposal, here's a summary of our latest developments.
Keychain extension
@theghost1980 is continuing to make good progress writing end-to-end tests and improving accessibility throughout the extension.
We've decided together with @cedricguillas to pause the development of the lease market (delegation market), to concentrate on a few features requests :
- Automatically claim savings interests (Ready)
- Choose RPC nodes for Hive Engine (Ongoing)
- Update log (Todo)
We should be able to push this next update to Beta early next week. On this topic, we would love to onboard a few more Beta testers, please contact us on our Discord if you are interested.
Mobile App
Version 1.9 has been pushed to Beta. If all goes well, it will go live in a few days with the following changes :
- Add governance screen (witness + proxy + proposals)
- Hive Engine tokens are sorted by value
- Fix image issue on Hive Engine tokens
- Fix missing icons
- Fix RisingStar login
Next we will work on implementing a QR code scanning system for quick payments, delegations, etc.

To import accounts quickly from your Hive Keychain extension to your mobile App, use the QR Code scanner by pressing the QR code logo:
On your extension, navigate to the menu (top right button), then to Manage Accounts and finally click on Show QR Code.

I'm so happy to hear that my proposal from months ago for QR scanning for fast payments is going to be realised.
I think it would help in many way to access Hive network even easyer and faster.

Yeah, it was in the backlog for a while, as we slowed down development on mobile to push the extension v2. Now that it's ready, we can get back to work on both sides equally.
We will provide a companion project, that will help generate the QR codes, so that other dApps can integrate them.

It will be interesting to see how the leasing market will work :)
Another thing that might be good to implement is a full web view of the extension, similar as metamask does, so we can manage some options in a better view.

Basically, users who need some delegations will make offers (paid in advance to our account), delegators can then delegate to them and get paid daily. When the lease is over, the delegator will be reminded to remove the delegation. All that from Keychain, in a non-custodian manner.
Hmm, that wouldnt necessitate any change in the code itself, except from the css, that might take a while. I'll keep it in mind but we have more urgent things cooking for now =p

Yea nothing to hury about
Great to see Keychain continuing to get plenty of love. I’m hyped for that auto HBD internet claiming feature, among many other upgrades.
Me too, to be honest, it's quite annoying to have to check manually if there's any interest claimable and then make the operation.
