As promised in our proposal, here's a summary of our latest developments.
Keychain extension
We are finalizing a bunch of new features that will be deployed in a new version next week:
- Automatic claims of HBD savings interests
- "What's new" window
- Hive Engine RPCs nodes selection
On top of that, @cedricguillas is now working on adding accounts creation capabilities to our extension. It will be possible to create accounts with tickets when available, or by paying with HIVE instead.
@theghost1980 continues to work his way through the extension, writing end to end tests.
Mobile App
I'm finally working on a feature that has been requested time and again, and that should be able to go live sometime next week.
This new update will allow users to scan QR Codes representing Hive transactions as formatted by the hive-uri library. To make it easy for everyone, I actually worked on 3 separate projects :
- A library for 3rd party dApps to create those QR Codes
- A QR Code Generator
- Keychain mobile App itself, in order to be able to read the codes
As mentioned, it is all almost ready, stay tuned for the release next week. Here's a sneak peek of the QR Code Generator:

To import accounts quickly from your Hive Keychain extension to your mobile App, use the QR Code scanner by pressing the QR code logo:
On your extension, navigate to the menu (top right button), then to Manage Accounts and finally click on Show QR Code.

The QR code thing is neat. I want to be able to pay for things with what I make here and that makes it simple. Keep up the good work.
