Huge Mesari Crypto Theses 2021 Report fails to mention Hive - Let's do something about it - Upvotes for Emails & Tweets

in #leofinance3 years ago (edited)

Many people are lamenting that HIVE's price languishing while BTC, ETH and some other alts are mooning.

Part of the problem is that HIVE is wrongfully ignored by big crypto financial houses that produce the reports that big investors read.

The latest example of this is the, otherwise excellent, Messari Crypto Theses for 2021.

This report has a whole chapter (11) on Web 3.0, including mentioning the need for un-censorable social media, decentralised content storage and NFTs.

They are starting to cover the 3rd blockchain paradigm shift which Hive leads, but they've never heard of Hive.

So lets demonstrate the power of the Hive community and write emails and Tweets calling for them to cover Hive in their reports.

If you post a screenshot of your emails or Tweets in the comments I'll give you a nice big upvote and I'm sure others will too.

As an example, here are my emails to Ryan Selkis ([email protected]), the author of the report and Lou Kerner ([email protected]), whose email newsletter alerted me to the report.

Ryan,

Thanks for this report.

While I understand that your focus is financial, I’m astounded that you can write a whole chapter about Web 3.0, including mentioning censorship, social media and NFTs (incl problems with gas fees) without mentioning Hive.

Hive is:

  1. the largest and most active decentralized social media network (see eg. https://peakd.com/ & https://hive.blog/);
  2. the most popular and active blockchain gaming platform, which host the No 1 blockchain game - Splinterlands (https://splinterlands.com/);
  3. a major player in the NFT market (with fast, no fee transactions) (https://nftshowroom.com/);
  4. one of the Top 3 blockchains for decentralized applications (https://www.stateofthedapps.com/rankings).

With the largest, most active community in cryptocurrency, if you are not covering Hive you are really missing the 3rd blockchain paradigm shift.

Lou,

Thanks for alerting me to this Messari Crypto Theses 2021.

UPDATE: Lou Kerner has emailed me back asking:

I'd enjoy learning more about Hive. What's the best way to do that?

Suggestions?

Here are a few things I've written specifically about HIVE. You might send him any you think worth the time.

The first is a write up on an article written by Tim Copeland that provides valuable background:
https://hive.blog/hive/@cryptographic/hive-how-exactly-did-that-happen

The second is an opinion piece, a kind of "customer testimonial":
https://hive.blog/hive-175254/@cryptographic/one-of-a-kind

And the third is my latest post: a more serious look at HIVE, and kind of primer with references and the like:

Thanks. 100% upvote for the tweet.
I have to be careful to upvote the user not poshbot.

The FAQ too.

I could not find the Tweeter link in your post ? If you can point to his tweets, then definitely we can reply, we have a big tweeter base, @nathanmars seems to be not active, but we have lot of other active people.

And FYI :

I don't have a tweet link. I have got a response already from my email.
I'll ask @brianoflondon to try to find a tweet.

But email is likely to be as effective or more.

This was my tweet earlier which Poshbot found and added above:
