What Market Decline?

Hi Friends,

Things are challenging these days with high unemployment and a partial shutdown of the US and global economies. People on main street certainly feel the recession pinch, but don't tell Wall Street:

The tech heavy Nasdaq continues to make all time highs, and my portfolios are pretty flat compared to where they started the year - there certainly is a disconnect, though the markets are usually forward looking anyway. If you added during the coronavirus dip, you are likely happy with your choice, though there are still plenty of potential headwinds: the US election, surge in virus cases, rollbacks/stalls in reopenings, slower effects of high unemployment, potential loan defaults by individual on consumer/mortgage debt, and the ever present high US annual deficits and growing national debt.

If history is any indication though, its just bes to stay long if you are in things for the long haul.

Good luck,
Brian

I made a small fortune in March with stocks of marketmaker FLOWTRADERS which has a listed equivalent company in the USA called VIRTU. They provide liquidity for ETP/ETF products and make lots of money when volumes rise and volatility goes up (see CBOEVIX) ; I anticipated that the corona would crash markets; the recovery we now see still makes no sense to me;

Nice move! I love when a holding goes through the roof! Would be nice to see hive do a moonshot soon too!
