Bitcoin Dividends Coming Soon to Miami Residents?

In Miami the Mayor there is looking to help raise the local standard of living in the region through technology and innovation and the MiamiCoin that they have recently launched this year has already generated millions for the city.

Mayor Suarez is also expected to be at the North American Bitcoin Conference from Jan 17 - 19, held at the James L Knight Center, where he will be speaking at the event.

It has already been suggested that the people in the city might start to profit from MiamiCoin by becoming recipients of dividends from that profit the coin is generating.

If they succeed then they will be the first ones to offer bitcoin yield dividends to residents and it might only be the first of many, once other cities also follow in the same path.

"We're going to be the first city in America to give a bitcoin yield as a dividend directly to its residents," - Suarez

There is already another city coin that has been created after MiamiCoin and discussions are still going circling around who might be next.

There is the potential for cities all around the world to adopt this model and earn dividends for citizens in one community or another. It has even been suggested that it might help to replace tax revenue by enabling communities to run without involuntary payments of that sort, which would truly be revolutionary.

There is a growing number of politicians in the US who are open to taking bitcoin payments as salaries and others who have also opened up about taking bitcoin paychecks too.

Making Wallets For Miami Residents To Receive Payment

As far as when the city might start to give out those bitcoin dividends they are already looking at and planning on making digital wallets for residents so that they can give out the yield.

Aside from the MiamiCoin doing well, the NYCCoin balance also has over $19 million currently.

While China says that Bitcoin and every cryptocurrency is illegal. And a few other countries are also saying the same or something very similar.

But either way, Miami is a good example, and the resistence from the various governments around the world is futile. More and more people are finding their way to use cryptocurrency.
