First of Its Kind Coffee and Cannabis Shop Opens on the East Coast

There are already a mix of coffee and cannabis shops that you can find in places like Washington, Colorado, and other areas. And now one has recently opened on the East Coast that is said to be the first of its kind and its called Higher Grounds.

Higher Grounds Opens in Old Port, Portland

They are not new to the coffee scene as they have been selling coffee for years now but they've been working to make it a mix with cannabis.

That meant having to wait to get the license to sell cannabis at the establishment and they needed a valid medical card in order to do it.

Coffee and cannabis is a popular combination for many cannabis users, morning or night. Now there are a growing number of weed cafes being offered all around the U.S. and it's only a matter of time before more states and markets embrace these new businesses.

From drive-thru weed operations to cannabis cafes like Planet 13 in Vegas, or cannabis lounges, cannabis-friendly hotels, and hundreds of other services that can cater to this space, there is a high demand that needs to be met.

Many markets are only just getting started and just now able to embrace the first coffee cannabis shops but they likely aren't going to be the last.

There are cannabis restaurants you can find in Colorado and California, as well as cannabis cafes which are a growing market along with cannabis drive-thru options and cannabis lounges. One option isn't good enough, diverse options are better for the individual when it comes to getting their products and getting it delivered or how they are able to pick it out and pick it up.

Why should the individual have to settle with just one option? Why not get it while you are grabbing that morning coffee or when you are just driving on your way home and don't even want to get out of the car? There is significant demand for cannabis all over the U.S. and that means that there is a market for those diverse services that can get the customers what they need.

Cannabis cafes aren't new but they will be new to many areas in the U.S., with more to come in the future if they can find the freedom to operate. There are still many areas that harshly restrict cannabis activities though so that could take awhile.

I think someone should make a Movie theatre where you can smoke during the film. This is a must have, and you would sell a ton of snacks.

liability would be huge it would have to be a double feature lol.

The writing has been on the wall for years now. Its only a matter of time before businesses like this exist all over the US.

I did not knew what I missed. :D

Imagine the conversation:

  • I would like to buy a cup/mug of coffee.
  • Sure. With milk? Sugar? Cream? Cinnamon?
  • No, thank you. Just/only a little cannabis.

  • What would you like to drink?
  • Just the usual (coffe with cannabis).

More later:

  • Coffee with cannabis?
  • Yes, please.

It's only a matter of time before it's. nationally legal. I think there will be more weed fusion options.

I definitely would love to see one here in Florida.
