Food Bank Day Organized For First Time

A man in the UK has recently established a Food Bank Day as food banks around the UK and elsewhere see a significant surge in demand. The food banks and other resources are emergency services in communities that are greatly needed by millions around the world.

They are also struggling to keep up with that demand, especially with inflation making things more expensive all around. The high cost of products like infant formula might be putting some families in danger. Many are also skipping meals to try and save.

In the UK Nov 30 is the first annual Food Bank Day and it was founded by S Baum in the hopes that this event would encourage more people to give and volunteers to help as well.

When the pandemic hit there was a surge in giving for food banks and other community resources but since then many people have been financially suffering, they might not be giving as usual or as much as they can.

In some cities you could find hundreds of thousands of people going to food banks within one month alone, there is a great need that has to be met and inflation is making things much harder for food affordability and overall living.

One survey from this year found that there might be millions of adults in the UK alone who are struggling to afford food each day already. The number of households that are cutting back on meals to survive is alarming and shows that for many food obviously isn't the top priority.

Hello @doitvoluntarily nice to meet you.

It so nice to read about Food Bank Day and see pictures of the food on the table.

The berries, milk, bread, and fruit look so good!

Yes it is very difficult lately with inflation going out of control.
