'No More Shutdowns' Rally Planned For Next Week

While some businesses might be willing to voluntarily close their doors for a few weeks or months because of COVID-19, there are many others who don't want to, and they are willing to take the risk in staying open.

Thousands of small businesses will ultimately be forced to close and fail if they are forced to shut their business down for another week or several this holiday season. For those who might have already made it through this year so far, they are probably surprised that they were even able to achieve that and still be in the market serving today.

It's understandable that many business owners and their families and supporters would be worried about the financial impact and psychological impact this could have on millions more, with new shutdowns being recently announced in a growing number of places in the last few weeks.

There is one group of business owners in San Diego that are planning to protest next week and march to raise support and awareness for their longing to re-open for business.

Those businesses are worried they won't last through another shutdown. Lawyers are already trying to halt those orders in court and put a stop to the shutdown so that business owners can continue serving the community. That ruling is expected to come on Monday as to whether or not that will happen for the businesses in the area.

“We’re going see a lot more businesses close all over again,... This is the last dagger for everyone. And it’s pretty scary.” - N. Kacha, manager of Rudford’s Restaurant.

People were starting to feel some sense like things were headed in a better direction, getting back to some sense of normal with many regular businesses opening up again. But now that's all going to change and it isn't clear for how long that might be. Of course the government continues to argue that the risk from COVID-19 is too great, which is their justification for violating natural rights of millions in this way. San Diego business owners have had enough already this year and they are going to fight for whatever freedom they can to try and do business in a way that they see works for them and not in a way that is dictated by the government.

Putting us back into another lockdown would decimate the US economy. We can't have another lockdown, and those advocating for it should really reconsider!
