For the first time, total liquid SPS has fallen below 100,000,000 tokens at 12:52 am EST.
This is the direct result of @Splinterlands players rapidly locking up their SPS tokens to prepare for the Chaos Legion VOUCHER airdrop to begin. In order to provide an orderly pre-sale period for the newest Splinterlands cards, a VOUCHER token will need to spent in exchange for the right to purchase one pre-sale card pack. But the only way these VOUCHER tokens are being minted is through SPS staking.
I am part of the crowd that is quickly staking their SPS in preparation for the airdrop and that meant staking another 5,500 of my SPS tokens tonight. I have a strategy in mind for being able to actively participate in the VOUCHER airdrop, while also having enough liquid SPS available to take advantage of any market swings and purchasing Chaos Legion packs at a 10% discount.
I expect a continued fast pace of SPS staking leading into the first day of the pre-sale on October 18th. With less than 23 hours to go until the first VOUCHER tokens hit our wallets, everyone is angling to get their piece of the airdrop.

It definitely will. Less than 24 hours after this post and liquid SPS is down to 97.3 million. So that's 2.7 million staked in 19 hours! !PIZZA
