Article 311-2 states that 'Anyone who publicly insults a specific country, its nationals, or a specific race shall be punished by imprisonment or detention for up to 1 year or a fine of up to 2 million won.'"
They titled the article as if the law banning hate and discrimination against specific countries or ethnicities was made for China.
While it’s true that the controversy began with anti-China protests, the bill itself contains no such provisions.
It’s simply a law that rightly prohibits personal attacks against specific groups.
Yet when reporting on this, they also brought up China again in the context of nuclear submarines to criticize the government. It’s as if their heads are full of flowers.
