A lot of theory has been postulated about wealth. For example, we believe anyone who is hard working, consistent, smart, positive minded, disciplened, knowledgeable in savings and investments is already heading to the phase of abundance. Although this is very true, but there has to be a clear vision and well defined purpose which we are working towards.
There has been several debates as to whether laziness the major causes of poverty, A lot of people have shared their opinion about the matter but my humble opinion is, there's a direct relationship between poverty and laziness, these two cannot be easily separated.
POVERTY
poverty is simply severe lack, not having enough resources to meet basic needs of life, such as food, shelter, clothing and education.
So many things beyond our control can contribute to poverty especially environmental or health factors, a place or region we live in can hinder access to information, access to productivity. Even though there are some circumstances contributing to poverty which can be beyond human control, it is also possible for a person's laziness to be the cause of poverty.
What is the relationship between laziness and poverty ?
laziness is simply being unwilling to work or use energy/potential. It is the disinclination to activity or the zeal to do nothing.
Poverty and laziness can not be separated, each time you feel the need to rest instead of work, that's a proposal for a step closer to not having enough.
YOU CAN OVERCOME LAZINESS
Avoid distractions, make manageable goals, do not set unrealistic goals as this can cause a burn out when they take too long to accomplish, don't expect yourself to be perfect, use positive self talk, find your motivation and keep your self pushing. Always seek help when you need it.
I discovered that the major reason why people get tired so easily is because they are doing the wrong thing, when you engage in the things you were really not born everyday, it is normal to run out of energy. The soul to this is to find something you are passionate for, you'll never get tired, you'll wake up early and go to bed late, you'll even desire more than 24 hours daily.
Can hardwork really guarantee success ?
Working hard is not a guarantee to success, there's no map to success. But sometimes hardwork signifies progress and that is very important, I have seen hardworking people not wealthy but that's not enough reason to stop working hard because there's dignity in labor and hardwork pays. Even though hard work is not a 100% guarantee to success there's no downside to it.

Great topic you brought here... Actually laziness is closely related to poverty as many people are poor just because they are lazy to work or just look for a work that doesn't really require any effort so that will also be considered as laziness.
Yet sometimes I can say many hard working people ends up going poor just because of working hard and not smart... but after all poverty isn't always blamed on luck.
