Digitopia
I was intercepted by two young boys on the high street the other day. They were holding some pieces of paper, the contents of which I couldn't decipher. I dismissed them with one wave of the hand and walked right past them. I then realised I needed to take some cash out of the ATM, which was a few yards back, taking me past the boys again. One of them noticed I was withdrawing cash and approached me again. He apologised for "bothering" me again, "but we really need this", he said. He was unusually polite for someone his age, about 8 to 10, so I gave him the benefit of a doubt and listened to what he had to say.
It turned out his boxing gym was being closed down so he and his mates were out raising money to somehow prevent it. I asked him a few questions in an attempt to detect a scam, but it seemed legit. He even had the boxing lingo. I pretended to spar with him and asked him what he would do if I came at him with a straight right. "Slip and hook!" he responded immediately, while actually doing the action. Ok, I was convinced he at least was in some kind of boxing club, or had some training, or watched a lot of YouTube videos.
It goes without saying that I obliged and donated some small change to the cause. I'm not quite sure how two boys collecting money on the streets will prevent a gym from closing down. I wouldn't be surprised if the property in which the boxing happens had already been sold to developers to be replaced by a tower of residential or commercial units. This is especially because of where it apparently is - Hackney Downs.
That's a prime area for re-development now because of the high demand by city workers. It's also a part of London with a lot of history and character. Sadly over the last decade it has become unrecognisable in most parts due to the towers of glass and metal erected all over the place, often at the expense of some vintage warehouse or similar structure.
Soon enough we're all going to be living in little shipping container style box homes anyway. Imagine, cities of perfectly uniform box homes with road names changed to numbers or Google Maps coordinates for easy navigation by our self-driving cars. You'd no longer have to leave your box anyway since you'd work remotely from home and socialise virtually in 3D VR with drone delivered food and drink through the window of your 37th floor apartment.
"Food" as in synthesised biomass and 3D printed calorie repositories and edible plastics in perfect portions to deliver the exact amount of calories required for your daily inactivity. Of course, even then, there will be hierarchy and class. Those with more tokens staked will be rewarded with "higher quality" plastics, or maybe even actual organic material to eat. They may upgrade to a large box with an extra window. The options are limitless.

True thing ... last time I did it like this, when I had same problem in internet ... someone was ask help so I was give HIVE pages :))) ... I don't know if I could have done that because of how young they were. Maybe if their parents where there, or their trainer.. but it's a good idea :)
