I told you yesterday I had been learning photography and today I wanted to share some photos that I've been taking of the awesome night sky in Atacama.
These shots are all also taken from the hotel (whilst in lockdown). I'm feeling extremely lucky to be able to still get outside (whilst still being in the confines of the hotel) to take these photos. In all three photos you should see a bright bit which is the Large Magellanic Cloud. This is our closest neighbouring galaxy - it is 160 thousand light years away.
The large Magellanic Cloud in the bottom/middle is one of only three objects outside of the Milky Way that you can see in the night sky with the naked eye.
