Squeaky Beach

in #life4 years ago

Most people that visit Melbourne take Great Ocean Road, and there are flocks of tourists wherever you go. But if you take the road towards the East, there is a fantastic spot called Wilsons Promontory National Park that is well worth visiting.

The first spot we went was the famous squeaky beach. The sand on this beach is so fine that it squeaks as you walk around! Up to this point we'd been in Queensland and enjoyed the tropical waters (whilst avoiding danger!), but back down on the South Coast the waters are frigid.

The sharks and jellyfish won't get you on the south coast, but the water is very cold!
