At the moment my kettle switch busted, so I made a work around. Knife on the plate on the switch. Once the kettle starts to vibrate, the knife falls, switch is free.
it ended up blowing up completely :P - neighbour came over to make coffee, didnt put the weight in the right spot, it didnt kick off, boiled dry, almost torched my house
