Tried different herbs on it and Oregano was the best.

This is very similar to what we call bundás kenyér in Hungarian. This food is well known in my country for breakfast. I love it. One of my favorite foods. By the way, this food is called French toast in English.
Nope, this is grilled cheese sandwich.
French toast is bread soaked in eggs (and cream) and then fried. In German we call that Arme Ritter (poor knights). Every country has their own version, it seems.
...but the grilled cheese is something different.
