THE COST OF FREEDOM
They seek to control you by fear and division.
"For your safety", they say, as unjust laws are written.
Your body, your home, your clothes, your children
You let them define what is ok and what isn't.
They value life none, and war just business.
They lobby, they lie and they weaponize our ignorance.
Creating enemies just to destroy with a vengeance
How can they preach safety with no concept of limits?
Do you know of any who represent your interests?
Wars are fought and good lives lost to sedition.
Yet another historical chapter in dire need of revision
As they play us like pawns and our myths turn against us
Who lives and who dies is their unfair decision
They are the cancer in need of remission.
Why do we act as if there are no consequences?
our actions abroad? No hope for forgiveness
And meanwhile we pillage and plunder with vengeance.
God is not proud. More a reluctant witness.
We must unite at once. As brothers and sisters.
We share a planet after all, and our numbers (are) tremendous.
Our privacy. Our wealth. Our health. Is Our business
Considering sons and daughters expendable is mental illness
If war is your solution then the problem is yours too, isn't it?
You and your kids should be among the first sent to die then.
Lives forever lost is the cost of our fading "freedoms".
