Have you noticed that sometimes you lose your peace just because of a mere thought?
Peace or piece?
Thoughts make up the mind. So, always be careful about what you think. Sometimes, a thought can be too powerful enough to attract it and become next to real.
Why do the rich keep on getting rich? Why do the poor keep on getting poor?
Sometimes, it is the thoughts that drive it deep. The rich guy keeps on thinking about how he can make more money and in the end gets more as time passes. I hope you get what I am trying to say.
Coming to peace of mind, any amount of riches is not enough to buy 'peace'. Is it not?
A happy and contented person is the most satisfied guy on the planet. Of course, there are situations where happiness vanishes, and people have to undergo trials and tribulations in life but it will not affect a person very much if he/she is able to counteract it with strong will and determination, and courage.
The human mind is a complex system. We all have thoughts when we are awake. These thoughts are mostly based on our fears and doubts if we are a bit careless about controlling such and are always fearful about the future.
Try to observe the people who are generally 'cool' in nature. They don't seem to give a care about what others think or say and are always confident. Try to be like that.
The above image is from an FB page - English Literature. It seemed apt for the post I am writing. It does take a lot of years to be mature enough to understand that people should not 'try to fit in' and follow their own conscience.
Now, for those who think they are over-smart. Such people are very confident and think of others who are lesser than them in a very menial way. Can we 'treat' them? Do not even bother because it is not easy and life and 'karma' will teach them along the way.
So, what to do?
It is better to avoid such people if you can. For one thing, life is too complex and we cannot solve each and every issue. If it is something related to our work and progress and of course we encounter such 'specimens' in the workspace, it is better to arrive at a decision to either work together or talk it out and not be submissive. Once abused, it is easy to be submissive always and let the other get away with it. Especially if money is involved, it is always better to be wary of such overpowering personalities. There is a saying in our local language - Avoid the haughty and the evil people and stay away from such people. Sounds wise.
Why lose your peace fighting it out with selfish people. Such people do not care for anyone else other than themselves.
Life is too beautiful and awesome. Enjoy the moments and discover the wonders of this planet while you can. Listen to good music and stay blessed.
