As if some form of consolation, I try to remind myself to the reality that hard times generally tend to last much much longer than the good times, so learning to be "okay" and live with the hard times is a bit easier to practice. Eventually, if the good times come, they can be cherished without getting attached to them.
Yeah, you're completely correct. For me, I've seen more hard, trying and testing times and I have all that memory stored in my mind. However if I had understood this reality 4 or 5 years ago, perhaps I might have taken advantage of all that good time to prepare myself for the time that came.
Right, when we're immersed in good times, we sometimes don't make the best out of it to prepare for the hard times that come after it. Sounds a bit counterintuitive but good times are the times to work the hardest.
