Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well. (Josh Billings)

Sometimes I like to share a good quote, and this is one that I just read and I find it to be very true and interesting.

It is so easy in life to look at the cards of all the people around us. We might be envious because someone grew up in a better country and as a result, they could purchase 50,000 HP just using some left-over savings, while others have big-time trouble buying 500 HP. Or maybe someone has better clothes, a nicer car, a bigger flat, or so on. It is so easy to look at the cards given to the people around us and this will often make us feel bad and inferior to the people around us.

But, maybe it would be wise to take our eyes of everyone else, and instead, start to look at ourselves to see what we have?

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.

Nobody really cares about where you started your race. If you end up winning, you will be considered a hero and that is what really matters. Maybe you don't have as much as others, but if you take what you have and use it for your own good, invest it in good things, and work hard, then you can take it way further than where you are right now.

There is a parable in the Bible as well in which talents were given to several people. After a while, the superior came to the workers to see what they had done with their talents. Those who had used their talents were rewarded, while the one who had taken the talent and hidden it in the ground, he was spoken bad off and the one talent was taken from him and given to the others.

In the parable, what mattered wasn't how much you had in the start. What was important was what did with what you have.

So, stop looking at all the people around you, and start using what you have instead! That is what is capable of making a difference! Looking at all the others will only make you depressed!
