It's not as effective as arming yourself, but it is something else you can do. Sometimes, if enough people do write our Representatives and Senators, we can cause them to realize they will not be re-elected to their cushy jobs if they piss too many of us off. We don't write them much, so they gauge our sentiment by what we do write them about. If you're like me, nothing is as objectionable as murdering people across the ME and W. Asia, and the USA is by far the biggest source of funding for such vile crimes.
Here is a simple way to tell your federal Senators to vote 'yes' on resolutions introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders to stop sending bombs and armored bulldozers to Israel that are being used to slaughter children and bulldoze their homes.

You can just send the boilerplate txt CCR provides, or, like me, you can personalize the message you send to your state's Senators. It's more effective not to call them names, or make threats, oddly enough, so please refrain from abusive language. If you have specific thoughts on the matter (that are fit for Sunday School teachers) it's always a good idea to personalize the message. It's important to advocate the 'Yes' vote on the specific legislation, because that is how the Senate works, so do remember to keep those titles and the request they vote yes on them in your personalized message.

Yes, I did, and I provided a link where people could contact their federal Senators and Representatives to facilitate contacting them.
It is not surprising that someone from E. Asia isn't familiar with the structure of foreign governments.

I find it difficult to understand the United States because it is so vast and contains such diverse people and worlds!
I think that the states of the United States are one country! I think that various countries came together to form the current United States of America!
From my perspective, Oregon and Wyoming, and Texas and New York looked like completely different countries!
I believed that people who use English and dollars and believe in Christianity symbolized Americans!

This is why they are called states. China is a state. N. Korea is a state. Wyoming, Oregon, New York, and Texas are also states. The United States is a union of independent states forming a federated polity of them all.
