Let's Make a Collage 37 - Nature takes back control over the city

in #lmac4 years ago

Cities are raised where nature was before and the ecosystem is broken in so many ways. But at some point the nature will fight back and will take what was once hers. This is what happened in a city where a majestic tree took over and put its roots all over the buildings. A glimpse to the past or maybe to the future.

My creation has been done using Adobe Photoshop Elements and the Guided effects available there.

The main image is from @shaka.

Hope you like the interpretation and please give back to the nature as it was given to you as well.

I love the way you took the photo back to nature :)

Hi @photoark, thanks for your entry.

However, as mentioned last time, you need to post your entries to the LMAC community to participate in the contest.

(...) This link will bring you there. As soon as you have subscribed to it you'll be able to make posts to the community. If you use the Peakd editor you can select in a dropdown at the top the community to which you want to post:

Also, can you please provide the source for the tree which you used in your collage so that it can easily be verified that it comes without any copyright restrictions. Thanks!

Hi,
I did post it from Peakd from the LMAC community but probably it was the default on My blog instead of LMAC. Will do it in the future (will try to post something else at least for a test to ensure I got it before next contest).

The tree itself is not an external image but rather one from Photoshop Elements - Background presets. I have specified this on the post, hopefully this will suffice.

Hi @photoark, I hope that you'll understand that I cannot afford to research this specific case. With 30-40 submissions per round, the LMAC depends on its participants to proactively provide the sources of all used materials so that it can be checked by a single click that no copyrights are attached. If assets provided by a certain app or software are used it is also up to the participant, that the respective Terms & Conditions are checked and the relevant passage linked in the entry. Thank you!

Hi,
I understand your point of view and I was limiting my compositions to the plugins available in the image editor tool (Photoshop Elements) in order not to fall in any copyright infringements from other sources. The plugin is used as is without any 3rd party source and it falls into the editor licensing as free of use.

While I couldn't find in the license agreement a dedicated line for presets - brushes, lines, backgrounds etc. - hopefully it is good enough that is part of the application itself. If not you can disregard the post for this contest and will try to use 3rd parties images going further.
