Mustang Sally Diner, during lockdown!!
Mustang Sally is an American style Pub and Diner, in Pretoria, South Africa. We are currently in Lockdown Level 4, which meant that we could not go to restaurants and all alcohol sales are prohibited!! (We are currently still on Level 4, but on Sunday the restriction on going to restaurants were lifted, but still no alcohol permitted)
The restaurants made plans to stay open and started a roadhouse type service in the parking lot!!
They put a long plank, covered in a red vinyl, through the front windows of the car, from the one side, right through to the other side. This serves as a table.
Below you can see our food and milkshakes, on the makeshift table!! A number of restaurants, started the same service in the parking lots. This worked out great, we could eat out and the restaurants are still in business, with waiters still earning money!!
This just shows you where there is a will, there is a way!!

Very nice! That's crazy you are still on lockdown...Wisconsin has been open for business since last June! What are those cheese ball type things? Batter fried cheese curds? They look pretty good
I can't remember what they called it, but the menu said it is a typical American dish and almost like you said, deep fried mac and cheese balls.

Oh yeah...I will have to find some good photos of beer, batter-fried cheese curds from over here. It's a Wisconsin delicacy and they taste wonderful...mozzarella, cheddar, pepper jack...all sorts of good cheeses to batter fry (oh, and not very healthy!)
