A poignant story, and sorry to hear about your baby brother.
My son is an only child.. funnily enough he ended up with a girl who has a brother but a VAST family of cousins and such... huge. Like.. I can't keep up!! It's nice for him. Makes me feel less guilty for me not giving him a sibling but he doesn't seem to care much.. he's too rational I.e why feel sad about something that never happened.
My cousin was an only child.. he suffered the SYNDROME.. spoilt, arrogant, self centred. My boy did NOT have this stamp... I worked hard to make sure of that! Funny today though.. took him vinyl shopping today for his bday.. told him to count himself lucky as no way would I have spent that much on him if I had two kids lol.
