Physically, the D7100 is very similar to its predecessor, with practically identical size and weight. Place the two cameras side by side in fact, and you'd need a moment to tell one from the other, nice photography..

The detail in the Apis picture is amazing.
HI, I believe the macro lens is the key for macro shooting. i used D80 before. comparing it now with D7100. i would say it's easier to shoot with D80 but D7100 gives more pixels.
Thanks for the insight, ill do a bit of research on those macro lenses :-)
