Ever since I stopped using Facebook on a daily basis and deleted the app entirely from my phone, I still have times in my day where there is "dead time" and in that time I used to fill it up by mindlessly scrolling FB and seeing all the mostly negative political postings and people virtue-signalling about how people aren't as good as they are towards the environment and basically just acting like a-holes all the time.
Now I "waste" time on 9-gag and while it is still a waste of time, at least a laugh a bunch instead of seeing my friends be really mean to eachother in a public forum. Here are some of the ones that made me laugh in the past couple days and a few thoughts on them.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that this Covid thing is just shitty. I, like everyone else am sick of it and all the bullcrap that comes along with it. The conflicting information, the ever-moving goalposts, the fear-mongering, and the people using it for political gain has all worn thin on me. I don't know what the truth is and neither does anyone else. I do know, however, that the chances of you dying from it are very small and while the stat in the meme above comes from selective statistics based on the global population vs the death, I don't care. It's funny as was the episode of Southpark that they are referencing.
Anyone who has read my stuff with any sort of regularity is aware of the fact that I have a soft spot of doggie-pals, especially my own Shih-Tzu princess, Nadi. The above is not actually a meme, I am aware of that.
I have never tried to put Nadi an a costume but this would be very appropriate for her and well, any other dog really. I really don't think that my dog would have the patience necessary to get this pic done. She would not tolerate having something put on her because she is quite claustrophobic. She doesn't even like cuddles.
I am also a massive fan of metal and I am convinced that even as I get older, it will remain in the top spot. Recently, a friend of mine who shares my feelings towards this type of music sent me this. I really don't think a GF or BF would ever ask someone to stop listening to a type of music but if I ever was dating someone that hated metal and had an attitude about it, we wouldn't last very long as a couple.
I'm American and I have lived the last near 17 years of my living not living in the USA in certain expat communities around Asia. There is always a mish-mash of nationalities in these communities and as an American, you are going to always have some witless person that things it is funny or innovative to criticize something that I had nothing to do with. This is normally American Football or simply the American notion of the English language. All languages are difficult to learn, but I thought that this one kind of encapsulates one of the few areas where English (not necessarily USA English) is much easier than other languages. I studied French for 4 years and remember none of it.
Years ago someone I know that is really into deep dives exposed a conspiracy that I never would have imagined could possibly be a real thing: The fact that we only need conditioner because we overuse shampoo. I had long hair when i was in college and high school and I am quite certain I used a ton of it. I also remember when briefly something called "finishing rinse" was introduced and people were (rightfully) unwilling to add a 3rd step in the already stupid process.
I do remember the multitude of options available though and kind of had my doubts as to whether there was really any difference other than the price and marketing of certain brands. This was funny because some of them were actually quite unflattering.
Lastly, I show you this one because it is a reflection of my own life. Due to my own life choices, I have felt terrible almost every morning since the late 90's. This is because of drinking, which other than gaming, is probably the only thing in my life that could be considered a hobby. However, every now and then I wake up super early after a night of 12 beers and feel great and I have no idea how that is even possible.
One of these days I think I will take a week off booze and see what happens. Oh who am I kidding, that isn't going to happen. Maybe I'll just stop keeping wine in the house.... Baby steps!

The top meme made me LOL when I wandered over to see what you've been up to. Urgh and double urgh for the Covid BS and manipulation. On the up side, with all the handwashing etc it's probably the first time in decades that Thailand has seen a drastic decrease in hopitalizations for food poisoning and general tong sia.

Dying for some beach time in Hoi An and feeling like a caged rat too. Don't even start me on the visa BS or the things being changed & modified under the guise of Covid.

Those are all pretty good. The metal one was my favorite. On another note, I stopped using shampoo a few years ago for exactly the same reason. I still have a bottle because I don't want to stink but yes, it is a sham largely. I remember finishing rinse, what a joke!

I can relate to that... and that's why it's so difficult for me to find a girlfriend. There aren't many metalhead girls around... and the ones who exist are already taken. 🙄
About this corona thing... Who knows? Maybe it's all a big psychological mass test. This stuff doesn't appear to be as dangerous as they are trying to sell it. If it was... half of us would be dead already. 🤔
i don't think I have ever met a girl that was properly into metal. I've met a few that tolerate it but ones who would actually go out and find this stuff on their own and genuinely love it like I do are an extreme rarity.

Those are pretty funny. I know they say that you shouldn't wash your hair as much as we do. I think some people just can't stand the greasy feeling when they don't do it. I don't have too much hair left these days, so I don't need to really worry about it! The closest we ever got to putting our dog in a costume was a cape. I don't think she would handle a full costume well either.

I bought one of those outfits that makes your dog look like a pirate from the front, complete with sword, Nadi freaked out when I put it on her and destroyed it immediately. So yeah, that isn't happening over here either :)

I hope he can figure it out. On the flip side there are some nights that I have a reasonable amount of drinks like 3, go to sleep early after drinking a bunch of water and taking a multivitamin and then sleep till nearly noon the next day and feel like ass.
