As I've been watching the LUNA/UST meltdown on twitter I saw this in the sidebar:
It annoys me so much I had to actually write something about it.
Mia Khalifa was one of the most popular porn stars in the world (and actually still is even though she quit a while ago). From what I've read she has since gotten married and was trying to make a go of it as a sports commentator. Apparently now she is advocating for women's issues.
That's all fine.
The part that is annoying is she is trying have it both ways: Recognize me as a famous person from porn, check out my shirt with 3-d pattern over my boobs, but don't think about my porn history.
It's not as though Mia Khalifa is her real name. She is trading on the fame from earlier but then expects the entire world to conveniently forget about what made her famous.
I'm not here to moralize against porn. I don't think there's anything wrong with making it, watching it, or anything. It's the sheer hypocrisy of the whole thing that irks me.
And for the record, I've never watched any of her old videos. Not my type.
I was wondering what that was but I never clicked on it.
