You Can Rewrite Your Story As You Want

in #motivation14 hours ago

One of the things that you should understand about life is that it is like a book, where everyone holds the pen to write their own chapter. It does not matter how your past was, or how your present has been going, you can rewrite your future. Trust me, your past is not like a permanent sentence that is designed to influence your future, it is only a lesson to teach you the right thing to do. This is why you should not be trapped by your past mistakes, you should not allow past failures to put you in captivity, and you should not allow your presence situation to determine your future. You have the power within you to change the course of your life, start afresh, and make things right.

In order to rewrite your story, there are things that you need to do. The first one is acceptance. That is, you need to acknowledge where you are and the position you are in. This does not mean resigning to fate or giving up. Without having a knowledge of where you are, you may not know where you are going to. More so, you cannot solve a problem that you have denied its existence. It is by acknowledging your challenges and the choices you have that will guide you through solving it. This is why, when you want to write a project work or a dissertation, you will first do your "statement of problem," so as to guide you towards the solution. In the same way, to rewrite your life's story, you need to acknowledge where you are.

The second one is that you need vision. That is, vision of where you are going to, vision of what you want to achieve, a clear mental picture of what you want to achieve. If you have no destination in mind, there will be nothing that will guide your journey. In fact, you may not even know if you are on the right track or not, and you will not know when you arrive. So you need to have a dream, goals, target, something to give you direction and focus. You may even need to write down your goals, so as to provide the needed driving force. More so, it will turn your mere desires into solid intentions, and will also provide you with the roadmap to arrive at your destination.

The next thing you need is courage to take actions. Courage is the link between knowing that you can rewrite your story and actually doing it. Change may be uncomfortable in most cases, because it challenges your habit, your belief, and may also make you to leave your comfort zone. This is why you need courage to welcome and initiate the kind of change that you want. It takes an extensive amount of courage to be able to leave behind what does not serve the right purpose and embracing the unknown. It also takes courage to take risks even when you are unsure of the result that will come from the step. To rewrite your story, you need to have the courage to do so.

In addition to courage, you need to be resilient. Trust me, rewriting your story is not what you do in just a day. It is a continuous process, and as such, you need the resilience to keep going even when it seems so difficult to be on your feet. In the process of trying to rewrite your story, you may face criticisms, setbacks, or even suffer failure at some point, but resilience will make you to always rise up and keep going without allowing what is happening to make you to quit. Every failure you experience along the way will become a motivator, every challenge becomes a lesson, and every obstacle becomes a stepping-stone.

The last thing you need to know is that you should forgive yourself over the past mistakes. You cannot truly rewrite your story if you still hold on to regrets and guilt. No matter how you sulk about the past, you cannot bring it back or change it, so let it go. Forgiving yourself for the mistakes you made in the past does not mean that you are justifying your past mistakes, nor does it mean that you are giving excuses for them, but it means that you have freed your mind from the shackles of the past, so you can live differently and become a better person.

Well Written, we should always learn from our past mistakes to make our future bright, yea we can rewrite our story, making sure our past should not be interpreted in the present and Future...

That's right. The past serves as a lesson, not a sentence.
