That MOOG synth is a pretty awesome machine! MOOG makes some of the best stuff out there.
As for the pad device, I have a basic idea of what it does, my knowledge is limited to it's percussion uses, but I know that there's a bunch of other things it can do as a MIDI controller.
If it was me, I'd go for the synthesizer first. :-)
