The Five Canadians were from San Antonio Texas! Originally The Hangmen, they wanted a foreign vibe so they went North of the border. This is a famous Garage Rock song known by Garage Rockers from the early 80s. I first heard it in 83 on the Mod Monday 60s radio show on WNYU from New York City.
It's a fast song barely reaching over 2 minutes. We have organ in the front with a driving bass and drums in the rhythm section. The singer is super snotty, a proto punk performance for sure. His girl isn't cooperating so it might be time to find a new one!
After a piano or harpsichord break, we finally have the twangy guitar come in during the last verse. Check it out. Play LOUD and dance!
