Here's a song barely over 2 minutes long which was influential and foundational in two genres - surf music and Garage Rock. The Wikipedia article on The Gamblers says that they were an LA band formed in 1959 which is also the year that they recorded this overdriven instrumental with a few howls and ahhh ahhh vocalizations just to fill it out.
The track starts with pounding drums and the rhythm guitar soon falls in, then bass and piano, followed by the vocalizations. Finally the lead guitar rips in with a lick that sears your brain cells! Check it out!
