Singing a cover song is one thing but based on how litigious some are in the music industry I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to argue that copying lyrics from azlyrics.com to your blog was copyright infringement.
thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I'm sorry if broke a rule on copying lyrics from other sites. I thought it's okay because I stated the source... Newbie in blogging here in the Hive community. Thank you for reminding me.
It's not necessarily a "rule" but it's something that's probably best to avoid. A Wikipedia entry describes it as a copynorm. If I were you I'd just use a link to the lyrics and have the text of the blog post be about how the song makes you feel or how it brings up a memory. It's not legal advice but just what I'd do to avoid a possible lawsuit or getting put on a Hive blacklist.
